    My Dear Boy,

    Your letter bright and early this week stating you where going on your vacation or rather partly vacation. Your articles must eather be very good or very bad that you could not leave it while you had your vacation. You used to tell me when you were a small boy you could not study all the time but it looks now that you want to try.

    Well I hope you got so enthused with the various games with Dr. Bloodgood that you failed to consider your article's completion at all and do it when you get back feeling good and full of life.…

    We went to Hyde Park yesterday. Walked each way through Oxford Street which is as crowded as Lexington Street and about 2 miles long. It is one of the princepal shopping streets. We enjoy seeing the beautiful things in the windows, and then nice rest in the park. And above all Mama enjoys looking at and critizing the stylish dressed ladies. And she can get through the crowded streets about like she got us seats in the street car in St. Louis at the Worlds Fair.…

    London felt blue over the young American beating their champions at golf. Their will be quite an interesting flying race Saturday between English, France, and America. I hope America wins. We might as well have all the glories especialy the Nobel prize. I want it for my boy which looks much better to me than success on the stock market. Although I desire that too.…
