    My Dear Boy,

    …You ought to feel releived after getting those news articles off your hands. I think I asked you last week who this party was who was partner with you and when you expected to get the results. If you have an extra copy you might send it and I will see if it is any good. You know that neither the Boss nor I are partial in determining anything of yours in relation to other competitors. Well win or loose I think it will be good advertizment for you and may open up your path for the future if I understand right. Dr. Cushing will not take very kindly with the article on the blood supply of the hypophysis or whatever you call it. Therefore it seems strange to me why you sent it to him but you know best. The results are what I am most interested in.

    I think you must have to spend lots of money on extra meals to be able to keep up to 163 or the grub is better than it used to be or something. The Boss says she wants you and I both 180 and her 130 and the 130 to be Boss over the two 180s. Does that look reasonable on the basis of might being right that the little shall rule the big. But I presume there is no alternative but just submit.

    Well by the time you get this you will be haveing the best governed country in the world by the finest man in the world. He is often quoted here in the papers. I am rather afraid he is overestimated. And in addition overestimating the power of his goverment. They seem to desire to deliver a big blow on the tarrif question.…

    I have not seen the result of the Firemans strike talks. The air is full of the same thing here.… They will eventually have to do the same in the States. Love of office by the officers who can hoodwink the men by making them believe in their individual craft ability so they can get fine salaries for mismanagment of them. Debs taught this many years ago and the people are just beginning to find it out now.…

    Well I had better quit as the Boss is beginning to unnessaraly critize my spelling. But this is natural for her as she succesfully went through the Athens of Cladymore with high degrees. I wish you could have seen the place. Well might she feel proud and dignified.…
