Dear valued member of the CNS community:
We felt it important to share that the CNS received feedback regarding our upcoming Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas, related to concerns over proposed legislation that could be perceived as restricting voting access in various parts of the state.
While CNS remains a non-partisan organization, we recognize that in these heightened times of political discourse, organizations are often asked to comment on current affairs and important issues. As such, our organization stands strongly for equity and opportunity in all facets of society. With that said, substantial financial resources and several years of planning have gone into the organization of our Annual Meeting—resources that would not be recouped if we were to relocate to another jurisdiction at this very late date. We therefore believe it is prudent to communicate that the Annual Meeting will be held as planned and we look forward to hosting our members this fall.
CNS takes all concerns of our members seriously and welcomes and encourages such dialogue.
