This article demonstrates that percutaneous endoscopic debridement and drainage offers a high diagnostic yield and effective infection control in patients with spondylodiscitis, outperforming traditional CT-guided biopsy. The authors propose a treatment algorithm positioning PEDD as a first-line option to accelerate diagnosis, improve outcomes, and reduce the need for more invasive surgery.
