    2026 CNS Spine Complications Course

    Course Description

    This course offers a peer review platform for discussing complications encountered in spinal surgery. Participants will explore management techniques, technical challenges, and equipment-related issues, with the goal of sharing lessons learned, highlighting safety concerns, and improving surgical care for patients with spine disorders.

    Attendees will be encouraged to present one of their own challenging cases and engage in discussions with peers and expert faculty, focusing on strategies for effective management and prevention of complications.

    Attendance at the CNS Spine Complications Course contributes toward fulfilling the Improving Health and Health Care Activities requirement for ABNS continuing certification.     Learning Objectives

    1. Identify Key Risk Factors: Accurately recognize and assess factors contributing to complications and suboptimal outcomes in the treatment of spine disorders, enabling proactive management and risk mitigation.
    2. Apply Advanced Problem-Solving Strategies: Effectively discuss and implement innovative strategies to address and resolve complications in spine surgery, with a focus on improving patient outcomes.
    3. Incorporate Emerging Research and Techniques: Evaluate and integrate the latest research findings, diagnostic advancements, therapeutic methods, and alternative treatments for comprehensive management of spine diseases.
