Schaumburg, Ill., August 26, 2026 — The Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) proudly celebrates the continued growth and impact of its Virtual Residency Fair, an important resource connecting aspiring neurosurgeons with residency programs across the country.
A cornerstone of CNS Neurosurgery Residency Month, the Virtual Residency Fair is held each Tuesday in August. Students can meet program representatives, ask questions, and access information to help them evaluate residency programs.
Now in its sixth year, this program provides medical students with direct access to more than 75 neurosurgery residency programs from the convenience of home.
Since its launch in 2021, the Virtual Residency Fair has welcomed 1,364 medical students and averaged 75 participating residency programs annually. CNS thanks all the residency programs that continue to make this Fair possible.
The Virtual Residency Fair reflects the CNS commitment to supporting the full continuum of neurosurgical education—from students exploring the specialty to residents preparing to become the next generation of neurosurgical leaders and beyond.
Throughout the year, the CNS supports residents and residency programs with innovative educational resources, complimentary resident membership, and opportunities to learn, lead, and make an impact on the future of neurosurgery.
