Schaumburg, Ill., August 5, 2026—The Congress of Neurological Surgeons Foundation (CNSF) is excited to announce the 2026 Pathway to Neurosurgery Program. This year, the CNS Foundation will be collaborating with the Charles H. Flowers High School on November 2, 2026.
inception in 2021, Pathway to Neurosurgery has hosted 185 students and been instrumental in inspiring and mentoring the next generation of neurosurgeons. The initiative is dedicated to alleviating health care disparities by encouraging high school students from underrepresented groups to pursue a career in neurosurgery or medicine.
A select group of high school students will take part in a full day symposium at the CNS Annual Meeting, attending enriching presentations and participating in hands-on laboratory stations to gain insight into a neurosurgeon’s daily life.
The Pathway to Neurosurgery program is supported by generous grants from Medtronic and Stryker.
