Medical Student Membership
The CNS Medical Student Membership is open to medical students who are enrolled
in an accredited medical school approved by the Association of American Medical
Colleges (AAMC), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Faculties of
Medicine of Canada (AFMC).
CNS Medical Student Membership is now offered complimentary to eligible medical
students.

CNS online self-assessment tool, as well as SANS: Spine, SANS: Pediatrics, SANS Competencies and SANS Neurotrauma.
- Reduced registration fee for CNS Annual Meeting.
- Opportunity to participate in the organization by volunteering on various CNS committees, such as the Education Committee and the Annual Meeting Committee.
- Reduced prices on other CNS publications and courses.
Eligibility
An applicant for Medical Student Membership in the Congress of Neurological Surgeons
(CNS) must be enrolled in an accredited medical school approved by the Association
of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA),
or the Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC).

Applicants must submit for consideration a complete and signed Medical Student Membership
Application and a signed letter from the Medical School Dean, Neurosurgery Department
Chairman, or Enrollment Official verifying the student’s enrollment and expected
date of graduation. Upon approval by the CNS Executive Committee, membership will
be activated and a welcome letter will be sent. Membership will renew automatically
each year and terminate upon graduation from medical school. Once accepted into
an accredited Residency Program, you are encouraged to reapply for CNS Resident
Membership.
