The AANS/CNS Sections serve to advance education, research and patient care relative to their individual subspecialties, as well as to advise the parent organizations of important issues and initiatives within the subspecialty or special population.

  • Abstract Archive.

  • Case of the Month - The purpose of Case of the Month is to provide a forum for discussion and debate regarding the management of both ordinary and extraordinary cases. There are no right or wrong answers, but rather, there are various opinions on what should be the "standard of care." The answers given will be collected anonymously, and be presented in a graphical format at the end of each month. We will then see the spectrum of thought regarding the management of these patients.

  • PDA Resources - The CNS is aware that in a growing era of mobile technologies and portable medicine, neurosurgeons are integrating handheld computing devices into their practice to enhance patient and medical information management. A collection of medical and neurosurgical software is presented to assist you in integrating PDAs into your practice.

  • Guidelines.

  • Neurosurgery Trivia - Neurosurgery Trivia is geared towards testing your knowledge in all aspects of neurosurgery with an emphasis on history. Many questions are quite challenging. After your selection has been entered, the correct answer will be displayed. The questions will be rotated on a monthly manner and will include a summary display of how people answered displayed as well.

The CNS offers its members a host of benefits including complimentary access to the CNS University of Neurosurgery and world-class publications like Neurosurgery® and Operative Neurosurgery.
