Managed Care

Congress has unsuccessfully attempted to pass a federal Patient’s Bill of Rights for more than 10 years. Such legislation would give patients the right to sue managed care organizations and other insurers for medical decisions, including treatment denials that lead to injury. The Washington Committee has and will continue to support such legislation.
